1. NO WHATSAPP MESSAGE CAN BE SENT TODAY
No WhatsApp provider is configured, and the WhatsApp feature is switched off. If you tick a WhatsApp box on our form today, we record your permission and send you nothing, because there is nothing to send it with. This section is here so that is not a surprise.
[NELLA TO CONFIRM: which WhatsApp provider NELLA will use. It matters to you, because it is a second company that will see your number and the content of your messages, and it has to be named in the privacy notice before the first message is sent.]
2. TWO PERMISSIONS, NOT ONE
There are two separate WhatsApp permissions and you can hold either, both, or neither.
Messages about your own request. Questions from our team, options, quotes and scheduling. Not marketing.
Marketing messages. Launch news, offers and studio announcements. Entirely optional, and never a condition of using the studio.
They are separate boxes because bundling them would not be valid consent under Ghana's Data Protection Act, and because you are entitled to want one without the other.
3. NOTHING IS PRE-TICKED
Every box starts empty. We never treat silence, or the absence of an objection, as agreement. If you did not tick it, you did not consent to it.
4. WE KEEP A RECORD OF WHAT YOU AGREED TO
When you tick a box we record the exact words that were on your screen, which version of this document they belonged to, the time, your IP address and your browser's user-agent. That is what lets either of us answer "what exactly was agreed" later. The privacy notice explains it in full.
5. YOU CAN STOP AT ANY TIME
Reply STOP to any message from us, or ask us on any channel, and we will stop. Withdrawing is free and takes no reason.
Withdrawing marketing messages does not stop messages about a booking you have with us. Withdrawing both means we contact you by another channel about your own booking, or not at all if you ask us not to.
We keep the record that you asked us to stop. Deleting that record would remove the only proof that we were told.
6. STANDARD MESSAGING TERMS
WhatsApp is operated by a third party under its own terms and privacy policy, and your mobile network may charge you for data. Neither of those is something NELLA controls.
[NELLA TO CONFIRM: the hours during which NELLA answers WhatsApp messages, and what a customer should expect outside them. Nothing here should imply a 24-hour reply.]
[NELLA TO CONFIRM: roughly how often marketing messages will be sent. People are entitled to know before they agree.]
[NELLA TO CONFIRM: how long WhatsApp message history is kept. No period is set today.]
[NELLA TO CONFIRM: how a person who is not a NELLA customer — someone appearing in a group, or forwarded a message — is handled.]
