1. WHAT THIS COVERS
The NELLA Studios premises, its spaces and its equipment, and this website. It applies to you, to everyone you bring, and to anyone working for you on site.
2. USING THIS WEBSITE
Do not try to break into it, overload it, or reach data that is not yours. Do not submit somebody else's personal details as your own. Links you send us in a booking request must be ordinary web addresses; anything else is rejected, because a link submitted here is later opened by a member of our staff.
3. IN THE STUDIO — WHAT WE ASK
Look after the spaces and the equipment, and tell us straight away if something is damaged or not working. Do not move or reconfigure fixed equipment without asking. Keep gangways and exits clear. Follow the instructions of NELLA staff on safety.
Other clients are working in the building. Do not photograph, film or record anyone else's session, their people or their sets, and do not repeat what you see or hear. We ask the same of them on your behalf.
[NELLA TO CONFIRM: the specific house rules. A real policy needs them stated, not implied — smoking and vaping; naked flame, smoke and haze; alcohol on the premises; food and drink in the studios; music volume and quiet hours; where equipment may be rigged and what may be attached to walls, floors and the cyclorama; parking and loading; whether animals are allowed; and how many people may be on site at once.]
[NELLA TO CONFIRM: whether under-18s may be on site, and on what conditions — supervision, chaperone, permits, and consent from a parent or guardian.]
[NELLA TO CONFIRM: the rules for firearms, props resembling weapons, stunts, working at height, and anything requiring a permit or a notification to the authorities.]
[NELLA TO CONFIRM: whether NELLA requires proof of insurance from a client or their crew, and for what.]
4. CONTENT WE WILL NOT HOST
We will stop a session, and refuse a future one, where the work is unlawful under Ghanaian law, involves a person who has not consented to be recorded, or involves a child in a way the law does not permit.
[NELLA TO CONFIRM: any further content restrictions NELLA wishes to apply beyond what the law requires — for example adult content, political advertising, or work for a competitor. These are commercial and reputational choices, not legal ones, and only NELLA can make them.]
5. DAMAGE
[NELLA TO CONFIRM: who pays for damage to the premises or the equipment, how it is assessed and charged, and whether a security deposit is taken. No figure and no mechanism has been invented here.]
6. IF SOMEONE BREAKS THESE RULES
We may ask a person to stop, ask them to leave, or end a session. Where a session is ended for a serious breach, the booking terms and the cancellation policy decide what is charged.
[NELLA TO CONFIRM: what is charged when a session is ended for a breach. The cancellation policy currently contains no figures at all.]
7. TELLING US SOMETHING IS WRONG
If someone is behaving unsafely or unacceptably on site, tell a member of NELLA staff.
[NELLA TO CONFIRM: the reporting route for harassment or a safety incident, including who it goes to and what a person can expect to happen next. A safety policy without a named route is not a safety policy.]
